Interpretation: "Ugo," the eagle, is the king of birds; "oji" is the king of trees. Now, for the king of birds to soar high in the sky and perch on top of iroko, the tallest tree of them all,  means an outstanding personality, royalty, and fearlessness. In fact, "ugo bere n'oji" (the eagle that perched on iroko) is a term of endearment for heroes.

Interpretation: Uju is a popular short form of Obianujuaku or Obianujanwa or Obianujummadu. So, it really depends on whether the name giver want to convey that the child arrived in the midst of wealth (aku) or after siblings (nwa) or she was simply born into a large family. Many people use Obianuju to cover all possible permutations. Obianuju may also convey that the child came in the fullness of time.
